JPV hopes to deliver tonight

VISITING JPV Marikina FC is looking to bounce back tonight after a devastating 1-4 loss on Wednesday, June 20, against Ceres Negros FC in the ongoing Philippines Football League at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City.

Assistant Coach Frank Muescan, who will be taking over the task of Dan Padernal who serving a game suspension, is expecting their players will now be able to deliver after getting enough rest.

Muescan said they were motivated to give a tough challenge against the home side last Wednesday but circumstances were beyond their control. "We could have flown in Tuesday but we weren't able to book that day and got it in the following day instead. It was a tiring day for the team," he said.

The JPV mentor stressed they have a great game with Ceres FC in Laguna with a 1-all scoreline. "If you recalled, we were ahead but Ceres FC was able to score the equalizer," he added.

Ceres FC Coach Risto Vidakovic is unsure if how many players are still fit to take the pitch. "We have already lots of injuries in the team. It’s very hard but, the players did everything they can. I don’t know how long we can do that,” he said.
