MORE than 2,000 runners and fitness enthusiasts are expected to hit the roads of Cebu for the eighth Hunat Sugbu: Dagan Para Ni Maning, which starts and ends in the Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu today.
The run organized by Parklane International Hotel to commemorate the death of hotel owner Manuel “Maning” Ting has attracted 700 runners in the half-marathon and a total of 1,500 participants in the 12K, 6K and 3K categories.
A total of P72,000 in cash prizes will be given to the winners in every division, and the 12K and 21K finishers will also receive a finisher’s medal each.
Part of the proceeds will go the hotel’s annual medical mission together with the Jesus Christi Community, while Para-triathlete Alex Silverio of Parklane Para Tri-Team is the second beneficiary. (RSC)
