Solon asks Ceneco to energize airport road street lights

BACOLOD City Representative Greg Gasataya has asked the management of Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco) to energize the street lights at the Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road (BSAAR).

Gasataya said he already informed the officials of Ceneco of the non-operational street lights in the area.

“I informed the Ceneco president three weeks ago, but until now they failed to address the problem,” he said.

The lawmaker noted that the BSAAR has several street lights and was already used since 2015 to 2016.

“I do not know why they stopped to energize the posts and it is almost two years already. It is a highway, so we need to use the streetlights,” Gasataya said.

He said in the previous years, stoning incidents and traffic accidents have been recorded in the area.

“The area was too dark at night and it is dangerous to our motorists,” he added.

Gasataya disclosed that Ceneco also promised to submit their report within a week.
