A 19-YEAR-OLD student was arrested by the Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) 7 for reportedly posting nude photos of his girlfriend on social media.
The man, who was a student of the Alternative Learning System (ALS), was arrested for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9995, or the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009 in relation to RA 10175, or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
Police officers from the ACG 7 arrested the student in Sitio Manga, Barangay Bahay, Sibonga.
Judge Ramon Daomilas Jr. of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) 11 in Cebu City issued the warrant of arrest.
ACG 7 head Chief Insp. Leo Dofiles said that the 14-year-old girl complained to the police after her nude pictures were posted on social media by her ex-boyfriend.
Dofiles reminded couples not to share nude photos of each other to prevent similar incidents. (JOB)
