MANILA -- A former overseas Filipino worker who is wanted for raping a minor was finally arrested by authorities early this week, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) said.
Police Director Samuel Pagdilao, CIDG chief, said Robert Bolaños, 60, was arrested in Barangay Domoit, Lucena City, where he hid for more than a year.
Bolaños, who was nabbed last Tuesday, has two arrest warrants for rape and three arrest warrant for child abuse issued by the Regional Trial Court in Lucena City.
Police investigation revealed that in 2004, Bolaños started molesting the seven-year-old daughter of his then live-in partner.
But Bolaños' crime was only discovered in 2009 when the victim reported to her mother that she is being abused by the suspect, which prompted the separation of the live-in partners.
Bolaños is the ninth most wanted person in the Quezon province. (Emmanuel Louis Bacani/Sunnex)
