Lexmark Cebu recognized for contributions to IT-BPM

LEXMARK Cebu bagged three awards at the 9th International ICT Awards Philippines 2015 Gala Night at the Marriott Hotel Manila held on March 24.

Lexmark Cebu received the “Best Company of the Year Outside NCR”, “Best Employer of the Year” and “Most Innovative Company of the Year” awards, according to a statement sent by the company.

This distinction was awarded to Lexmark by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines in close cooperation with the Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines.


The International ICT Awards Philippines, held annually, recognizes achievements and excellence in organizations and individuals based in the Philippines that have made valuable contributions to the industry and put the Philippines on the global map of the information technology and business process management industry.


The award for best employer of the year recognizes the outstanding employer in the IT-BPM industry deemed to be the most inspirational model in human resource management, practices and policies in the industry and Philippine business community.

The best company of the year outside NCR is given to the outstanding company with head office and main operations located outside of the National Capital Region (NCR) deemed to be the most inspirational for geographical diversification.

The most innovative company of the year award recognizes the company that has adopted and contributed advanced solutions, innovations and technologies in the IT-BPM industry in 2014.


In 2014, Lexmark won the “Best Global In-House Center of the Year” award and was named runner-up for “Most Innovative Company of the Year” during the 8th International ICT Awards Philippines.

It was also named the best shared services center in Asia at the Asian Shared Services and Outsourcing Awards for Excellence held in Singapore that same year.

In his visit to Cebu last month, Lexmark International chairman and CEO Paul Rooke said they consider Cebu vital to their success. Over 2,000 are employed in their research and development and shared services center in Cebu.

The Cebu Educational Development Foundation for Information Technology or (Cedf-it) nominated Lexmark for the awards this year. (PR)
