APALIT -- The Department of Labor and Employment Region (Dole)-Central Luzon in partnership with the local government here, recently awarded Negosyo sa Kariton (NegoKarts) to indigent but hard-working residents of this town.
Dole-Pampanga Field Officer Arlene Tolentino and Mayor Peter Nucom led the distribution of NegoKarts to 35 ambulant vendors whose main source of livelihoods are based on selling goods around Apalit.
Tolentino said that the 35 beneficiaries received P15,000-worth of NegoKarts and P2,500-worth of goods with a total amount of P612,500.
Nucom urged the beneficiaries to flourish the livelihood opportunity given to them by the government.
He stressed that NegoKarts will be beneficial in providing for the daily needs of their families, particularly to the school needs of their children.
He also reminded the recipients to take care of the facilities as they are just few of the chosen beneficiaries to receive the gift sourced from the taxes of their fellow Filipinos.
