SOME Davao City Hall employees on Wednesday, November 22, were weighed out for the Fit-Philippines One Million Pounds National Weight Loss Challenge.
A team, led by current City Anti-Drugs Council Action Officer Michael Denton Aportadera, brought weighing equipment to several offices of the city on Wednesday morning to check if the city employees have realized the 10,000 pounds the city committed to lose.
The weighing out of employees, which commenced on Wednesday, November 22, will end on December 1.
"We will conduct weigh out para makit-an kung naka-lose or naka-gain or nag-maintain (We will conduct weigh out to check if they lost, gained, or maintained their weight)," Aportadera said during the weekly flag ceremony last Monday.
To motivate employees to lose weight for the Fit Philippines One Million Pounds National Weight Loss Challenge, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio committed to give cash incentives for the three department offices who will accomplish their promised weight by December this year.
She committed to give P20,000 reward to three departments which will achieve their committed amount of pounds.
