THE Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) is set to fill 11 positions for board of trustees (BOT) next month.
Of the available positions, four slots are open for the services sector, three for industry, two for trade, one for sectoral, and one for information and communications techology (ICT).
“Elected trustees are expected to carry the voice of the sector represented and participate in monthly board meetings and other activities that the chamber initiates or organizes,” said CCCI in a statement issued yesterday.
The board ensures that policies are observed, updated and consistent with the chamber constitution and bylaws. They formulate thrusts and strategies, ratify initiatives and programs including projects, work plans, activities and budgets.
Election for the BOT is set for Feb. 23. The term of office of each trustee will be two years, beginning March 1.
Nominees must be an official representative of a bona fide organization and member in good standing of the chamber for at least one year by nomination date and must not be an officer or trustee of a similar chamber that may have future conflict of interest with CCCI. (JOG)
