TEN persons were arrested in separate drug busts in Bacolod City in the past week.
On December 27, Princess Mendoza, 27, of Barangay 16; Edgar Tan, 48, of Barangay 6; and Joemarie Seduripa, 37, of Sagay City were collared at Purok Sigay, Barangay 2.
Recovered from them were two improvised tooters, 17 sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) worth P13,000, P200 marked money, and P220 cash.
On December 26, Stephen Sabordo, 47, and Sharon Aguilar, 51, both of Barangay Villamonte were arrested in the said village after they yielded two sachets of shabu, an improvised tooter, lighters, P200 marked money, and P270 cash.
Sabordo was identified as seventh drug personality under Police Station’s 4 drug priority list.
Four days ago, John Ronel de los Santos, 18; Cyrus Canlas, 22; and Ronilo Magluyan, 42, all residents of Barangay 2; and Josephus Coscolluela, 31, of Barangay Alijis were caught playing poker in Barangay 2 that led to a recovery of a set of playing cards and P215 bet money.
Also recovered from De los Santos were three sachets of shabu and a coin purse while Canlas yielded an improvised tooter.
The City Drug Enforcement Unit conducted an anti-illegal drug operation on Rizal-Lopez Jaena Streets in Barangay 23 that resulted to the apprehension of Darriel Jacosalem, 36, last December 23 and the recovery of a sachet of shabu worth P50,000, and P500 marked money.
On the same day, personnel of Police Station 8 arrested Tony Sioco, 46, of Barangay Singcang-Airport and Melvin Mahinay, 31, of Barangay Banago after police seized from them 13 sachets of shabu, several empty plastic sachets, three lighters, plastic straw, bamboo used for clipping and an improvised tooter.
Both suspects, who were listed as first and second priority targets of Police Station 8, respectively, were also arrested for illegal gambling.
