The XU women’s team is expected to face rough sailing against the highly motivated and younger Higala FC girls of coach Weng dela Riarte.
The Higala FC girls just last month won the Women’s Open title in the 4th Prince Russel Cup football festival held at the Westridge Sports Park in Carmen. The XU women have not been successful this year as many of their reliable players have graduated or have stopped playing. But coach Lanz Terrucha still has team captain April Borja, Saira Comie and Desiree Castro.
They will also get reinforcements from their Alumni.
