Viray: Mr. Placement

MEET Mr. Placement. He is a native of Dumaguete, it can be said that Mr. Donny Sayre is a Fernandino. Having lived in the City of San Fernando for many decades and having built a family and a name for himself, he is more Pampangueño than most Pampangueños.

All of the effort and work that Donnie has done reflects his genuine love for the City of San Fernando.

rHis current work as Peso manager of the city involves enabling and empowering people through employment. It is in perfect alignment with his role as educator in his younger years, empowering young minds through education. He earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of the Assumption and his Masters at Philippine Normal University and University of the Assumption. After being an educator for so many years, he shifted to finding employment for Fernandinos.

He has been Peso San Fernando's manager for roughly a decade now. His greatest success as a civil servant came when he was awarded the Pagasa Civil Service Award by no less than by President of the Philippines.

His intensity and commitment to deliver top class service to Fernandinos continues to be the force that propels PESO San Fernando to the top.

The City Employment Service Division (CESD), also known as Public Employment Service Office of the City of San Fernando, Pampanga (Peso San Fernando), is one of the best performing local government units in the country.

It is currently one of the few existing Institutionalized Pesos nationwide, with the distinguished awards under its name. It is the National Best Peso Awardee for three consecutive years, earning it a spot in the elusive group of Peso Hall of Fame awardees. Other Pesos from far up north as Isabela and south, Tagum City have conducted benchmarking study tours, to learn best practices from Peso San Fernando.

Even with in the province, the office was commissioned to perform mentoring to less developed Pesos in other places to help them become more competitive.

Even after having reached what seems to be the pinnacle of success, Peso San Fernando continues its work of streamlining processes and fostering efficiency in program and service delivery. These have led to many accomplishments and recognitions, both regional and national level.

To top it all, Peso San Fernando has been known for it was selected as one of the four pilot sites of the Department of Labor and Employment, Government of Canada and Asian Development Bank's JobStart Program, where it was recognized for having had the highest placement of JobStart Beneficiaries in 2016.

The Peso and Donnie are synonymous to each other -- meaning employment!
