(Foreword: This is the continuation of our letter-response to Nick, the Diabetic regarding his concerns on choosing the good habits for diabetics.)
Dear Nick, the Diabetic,
We are now at the final stretch. Here is the last of the list that could guide you to the good stuff you believe that could help you in your battle against Diabetes. But, again, the truth is this is the other dark side of the story is lurking that could really push all your dreams to an end and make your game be over. But, then, again, as long as there is flicker of hope, then, the game is not yet over. Let this flicker of hope burning. So, here’s more for you.
7. Getting always a bite of those hundred calorie snack packs
When you know that a snack pack has only a hundred calorie, you seem to be confident enough to keep having a bite on them. And you of course, tend to open pack after pack and eat more and more and the calories just keep on heaping up before you realize it. The truth is, there is much greater chance that you will end up eating more than if you get it from a regular container. As a matter of fact, there was even a study which showed that people who were given nine small bags of chips ended up eating almost twice as much as those who were given two large bags. So, watch out. Or better, just get that one big bag rather than a box of those tiny snack packs.
So, ask yourself and be honest. Can you really stop yourself from opening pack after pack? But, if you think, you can’t, then, better not try to open one. But, if you do really want them, just be sure to just bring one or two packs with you. Don’t ever forget to calculate those calories.
Lastly, don’t believe anything you read in the internet that tells you these things are good for you. Be sure to check the resources. If the resources are not clear and convincing, then, that should have given you a red flag. Moreover, if the study done is just one study, please don’t rely and gamble your life with it. Try to wait for more confirmatory studies. Just be a little patient - that could give you more life. Who knows you might be thankful that you have really waited.
Well, I hope this helps. Good luck!
