AGENTS of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized some P115,000 worth of illegal drugs in an anti-drug operation that saw the dismantling of a drug den in Zamboanga City, an official said.
PDEA Regional Director Lyndon Aspacio said the anti-drug operations conducted around 5:45 p.m. Thursday, January 18, also resulted in the arrest of seven high-value target drug personalities, while another escaped in the village of Camino Nuevo.
Aspacio identified the arrested suspects as Jeanifer Mondares, 32; Paulita Tubil, 43; Rodrigo Tubil, 32; Raymond Farallon, 42; Mark Albia, 26; Abdel Alamia, 41; and Bobby Tubil, 30.
Aspacio said another drug personality identified as Robert Berdin escaped upon sensing the presence of the PDEA agents.
Confiscated from the suspects were 23 grams of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) packed in a transparent plastic sachet worth P115,000, P500 marked money, and several illegal-drug paraphernalia.
Aspacio said cases for violation of Section 5 (Selling of Illegal Drugs), Section 6 (Maintenance of Den, Dive or Resort), Section 7 (Employees and Visitors of Den, Dive or Resort), Section 11 (Possession of Illegal Drugs), Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia), Section 13 (Possession of Illegal Drugs during Parties), Section 14 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia during Parties), and Section 26 (Attempt or Conspiracy) of Article II of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed in court against the suspects.
