AIR Juan Aviation Inc. launched their seaplane service yesterday by opening a terminal at the South Road Properties (SRP) in Cebu City.
Air Juan President John Gutierrez said that destinations such as Malapascua Island, Sumilon Island, Kalanggaman Island, Gigantes, Lakawon, Camotes, Panglao, and Anda in Bohol will be minutes away from the city after they open their flights.
For Cebu, Gutierrez said, six Cessna Grand Caravan seaplanes will transport passengers.
“We are not a budget airline but we’re the most convenient. But we will try to be competitive with our fare prices because we want everyone to enjoy our service,” Gutierrez said.
At present, flights from SRP to the selected destinations are still limited but he assured that by March, their operation will be full-blown.
In his speech, Mayor Tomas Osmeña said the seaplane service that Air Juan will provide will help those who need to make important appointments or want to enjoy a hassle-free vacation in nearby islands.
The seaplane service, Osmeña said, will also make SRP more competitive and will complement other planned developments within the reclaimed property of the City. (RVC)
