THE Davao City Police (DCPO) announced that they are still in need of 22 drivers for their new units of patrol vehicles.
Though they already hired 50 drivers, DCPO spokesperson Police Senior Inspector Ma. Teresita Gaspan bared they are still looking for 22 more to drive their Mitsubishi Monteros.
The applicants should pass the basic driving test and a clean record.
Initially, there were a hundred applicants but they were trimmed down to 50 after discovering some have pending cases and derogatory records.
Those interested may submit their application letters with attached Personal Data Sheet and Clearances including barangay, police and NBI clearance to the administrative office of DCPO in Camp Captain Domingo E. Leonor Pedro Street, this city.
The application letter must be addressed to Police Senior Superintendent PSSUPT Alexander C Tagum, City Director, Davao City Police Office, through PCI Leonardo Tarungoy, Chief, Admin Branch.
The spokesperson added that they will need around 73 drivers for shifting schedules. The salary of the drivers will be shouldered by the City Mayor's Office.
The new 26 vehicles were formally turned over last January 15 by commander-in-chief President Rodrigo Duterte in Davao City. These will be prepositioned in central Davao and strategic areas for anti-criminality and intensified police visibility.
