‘Sneakerhead’ for sneakerheads who eat

A NEW shop with shoes is trending online not because of its assortment of Jordans, Dunks, Maxes and a variety of Forces sold at lower prices, but primarily because of its Filipino dishes and a wide selection of coffee and chillers. Welcome to Sneakerhead in Bacolod, where not one pair is even for sale.

A haven for sneakerheads, coffee lovers and for the kind who would want to unwind and relax after a tiring day at the office, the newly opened cafe' and restaurant will entice you with exclusive pairs, high cut basketball lines and blocks of sporting gears displayed in all its corners.

Sneakerheads is the newest attraction in the face of the spawning Hi-Strip 4 tourism and food lane. A great addition to its boxes of food stalls and nightly come-ons, the new food and entertainment hub in the metro is getting more exciting with its inclusion.

The owner, a self-confessed sneakerhead with over 200 pairs to date in his base in the US and the city, has managed to cross the line to feature his interests for shoes, food and drinks in one business.

This is also a direct myth buster to all those who think that being a sneakerhead is a slow way to bankruptcy because the "need to own a new pair" is in no way managed.

Jeff, who is a successful businessman in the States also collects high end cars and signature wheels apart from his stacks of boxes containing his prized possessions.

The smell of opening a box of new kicks is so calming and the guilt of spending for a pair subtly fades. This is what I feel everytime I am tempted to get a new "box" (as in the term of many sneakerheads) which is more likely to result into actually stacking one home.

That is why, the cafe' smells like home to many as they can easily relate to this kind of guilty pleasure. Close to two months of operation, the kicks place is open from 9 a.m. to 12 midnight. It will make you drool with its coffee and cream-based frappe selections, tempting cheesecakes, and a delectable line up of breakfast options. All day favorites include sizzling seafood, adobo, caldereta, menudo, dinuguan, cansi, and choice on vegetable meals. These, on top of their cocktails and alcohol list.

The place is gearing up for Valentines and is even giving away special dinners for couples and even singles, playing cupid to lucky pairs who will get free dinner and exclusive sneakerhead items. I bet they would include some shoes for raffle being true to its corporate mission of delighting customers with their food, and what else, sneakers!

Give in to your inner sneakerhead and enjoy the kind of kick Sneakerhead Cafe and Resto brings through its snap ready walls, a sporty set up, and an appetizing food offering for your gastronomic pleasure. Avoid touching the shoes, please!
