THE Mong Kok Market district is one of the most popular shopping and tourist havens in all of Hong Kong, with plenty of restaurants, bars, interesting streets and busy markets. It’s the best place for bazaar hopping and amazing food!
Never been? Taste a bit of Mong Kok at SM City Bacolod!
The mall opened its Chinese New Year celebration over the weekend with First Lady Elsa Leonardia and the BacoLaoDiat Committee leaders.
The opening ceremonies kicked off one of the most important celebrations of China and most countries of Asia, including Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, North Korea, Singapore, South Korea, Vietnam and, of course, the Philippines.
This year, the Dog takes center stage – a giant canine statue perched on a tower of Chinese lanterns. This centerpiece towers 36 feet over a food bazaar, bringing a little bit of Hong Kong’s Mong Kok into the mall.
Chinese cuisine and other Asian delicacies are available at the bazaar from Sabor Ilonggo; Razel’s Nuts Haus; Pasta House; Feb’s; Merzci; Kiro’s; Qualitea; Marlene’s; Samurai Express; Anywhere Asian; Dragon Balls; City Lunch; Master Siomai; Antonia’s; Annalyn’s; Jame’s Ham; Fruitee; Coco Jen; Siomai House; and, Pan de Sal Express.
At the bazaar, Chinese charms and trinkets (lot’s of Dogs!), said to attract luck this 2018, also add to the Chinese New Year ambiance of the atrium.
SM City Bacolod wishes all of Bacolod good fortune in the year ahead! Xin Nián Kuài Lè (Happy New Year!) (PR)
