THE Police Regional Office (PRO)-Western Visayas will create a team or squad that will guard the activities of each policeman as part of the intensified internal cleansing program.
Chief Superintendent Carlito Feliciano, deputy regional director for administration of PRO-Western Visayas, who met with personnel of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) on Tuesday, said a team should consist of 10 to 15 personnel under the supervision of a senior police commissioned officer or a senior police non-commissioned officer.
Feliciano stressed the concept and importance of squad teaming.
“They will guard each other to determine who is engaging in illegal activities, particularly in illegal drugs,” he said.
Feliciano reminded policemen to help each other and coordinate with other police stations to neutralize drug personalities in Negros Occidental.
He said policemen should not limit themselves in their areas of jurisdiction because working as a team and collaboration is greatly needed to achieve the goal of eradicating illegal activities.
During his visit, Feliciano also met with the chiefs of all 10 police stations in Bacolod to determine what needs to be improved in their operations.
