“WE believe that the Philippines is the Swiss banking equivalent of the outsourcing industry, and we want people in the Western countries to know that outsourcing their business needs is one of the wisest decisions they can make,” says Derek Gallimore, founder of Outsource Accelerator, a company that offers independent information, education, and advisory for those looking to know more about their options for business process outsourcing (BPO) in the Philippines.
This is the main reason behind the The Source: Article Competition : to create articles that will help promote the wide range of Philippine outsourcing services to the world, and promote the country as the world’s premier outsourcing destination.
Cash prizes of up to P200,000 are at stake, and the more entries there are, the higher the prize money gets. Participants may also enter as many articles as they want to further increase the prize money.
To join, simply create an account in Outsource Accelerator, complete your profile, write your article, and submit it on or before March 24, 2018. Entrants are also encouraged to share their articles with their friends, clients, and colleagues, since the winners will be picked not just based on the quality of their work but also on the number of likes and shares.
The competition is open to all workers from the BPO sector in the Philippines, and the article must be targeted toward a potential BPO customer. However, anyone may still submit an article, provided that they get approval from the BPO company that they wish to write about. Submissions from independent contractors and remote workers are also qualified.
The ultimate goal of The Source is to generate valuable content for the reference of decision makers of small and medium businesses and enterprises (SMB/SME), who might be hesitant to outsource their business needs or may not completely appreciate its benefits.
Furthermore, The Source also aims to raise awareness and appreciation for the value that these BPO companies can provide to businesses.
With more than 35 million SMEs in the Western hemisphere, getting just a fraction of them to outsource their business requirements in the Philippines will be beneficial to individual BPO companies, the outsourcing industry, and the Philippine economy as a whole.
“Hopefully, the articles that will be generated through The Source will convince these business owners that outsourcing is a good opportunity for them and that the Philippines is the best country to provide it,” adds Gallimore.
The pool of articles entered in the competition will be housed in the Outsource Accelerator website and will become a free educational and awareness hub, with various materials about outsourcing and its benefits and insights about the BPO industry, among others.
The competition officially opens on February 25, 2018, but early entries are welcome. Submissions will be accepted until March 24 and the winners will be announced on April 4, 2018. For more details, simply visit https://outsourceaccelerator.com/bpo.(PR)
