THOSE who know of Minnan Chinese Cuisine keep coming back to its branch located in downtown Cebu corner Plaridel Extension, so much so that its regulars wished it would open another branch. Last year, wishes of fans were granted as Minnan opened a branch even closer to the heart of the metropolis.
Bringing that straightforward Chinese cuisine, Minnan’s new branch opened in January 2017 along General Maxilom Ave., Cebu City. It’s pretty much the same as its original branch—only bigger.
The place seats as many as a hundred people with its function room combined. When it gets too crowded, tables can be put up outside which happens quite often given its growing popularity. From locals to tourists, people flock to Minnan.
Promising authentic Chinese dishes as its way to introduce the culture to the locals and the food that comes with it, this family-owned restaurant is prized for its hot pots, various dishes from vegetables and noodles to stir-fried favorites and fresh seafood which diners can have cooked three ways: fried, steamed or sautéed.
The restaurant has a wide selection of live seafood from fish, and prawns to crabs, lobsters and such.
Showcasing authenticity from the ingredients down to the vibe of the place, Minnan gives its diners that straight-up Chinese flavor.
Visit the second branch found at the ground floor of JESA-ITC building along Gen. Maxilom Ave., Cebu City. It is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 11 p.m.
