FDHI to launch month-long ‘P1 Colonoscopy’ campaign

IN CELEBRATION of the Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, the Floridablanca Doctor’s Hospital Inc. (FDHI), recognized as the first and only private healthcare institution in Floridablanca, Pampanga, will launch its “Sa Piso at Philhealth Mo, May Colonoscopy Kami Para Sa’yo” program this March.

The live-saving campaign to be pioneered by FDHI’s Endoscopy Unit aims to promote early colorectal cancer screening. It also serves as a testament to the healthcare institution’s commitment to provide quality and affordable healthcare for all.

Colorectal cancer or CRC (involving either the colon or rectum) is the third most common cancer in the world, and the second most common cancer killer affecting both men and women. In the Philippines, the GLOBOCAN report in its latest publication that CRC is the third most common cancer among Filipinos, next to breast and lung cancers.

Colonoscopy is regarded as the gold standard for colorectal cancer screening because of its ability to diagnose and potentially remove early precancerous lesions.

For its second year, FDHI’s message remains the same: colorectal cancer screening can save lives. CRC screening has been shown to reduce cancer risk by as high as 70 percent.

Moreover, FDHI’s celebration of the Heart Month is extended until March 14. Since February 14, in time with the celebration of Valentine’s Day, the healthcare institution has been offering 30 percent discount on various heart procedures such as ECG, 2D Echo, 24-hour Holter Monitoring, Treadmill Stress Test, and 24-hour Ambulatory BP Monitoring.

All out patients (cash basis) are entitled to avail the promo.
