Tagum City road mishap kills 4

FOUR persons including a minor died after a motorcycle they were riding collided with a Metro Shuttle Bus late Friday night in Tagum City, Davao del Norte.

Based on a report filed by the Tagum City Police Office, the accident took place in front of Petron Gasoline Station in Barangay Magdum, Tagum City around 11:30 p.m. on Friday.

Traffic investigator PO3 Noel Cartalaba identified the fatalities as Timoteo Albarando, 21, a resident of Barangay Pandapan, Tagum City; John Rey R. Amamio, 25, from Lupon, Davao Oriental; Leonilo Colas, 29, and Louie Colas, 14, both residents of Purok Maharlika, Barangay Cuambogan, Tagum City.

Police investigation revealed that the passenger bus driven by Emmanuel Fabiana, 45, was on his way to the garage when the Honda 125 motorcycle, which was then on the opposite lane, changed course and collided with the bus.

All men aboard the motorcycle were brought to the Davao Regional Medical Center but were declared dead by attending physician Dr. Gerald Rañeses around 1 a.m. Saturday.

Fabiana, the driver of the passenger bus hit by the motorcycle, submitted himself at the police station to work with the authorities on the case.

The passenger bus was also impounded for proper disposition.
