MOST injuries happen in sports due to the nature of activities that athletes go through but some common injuries also happen to non-athletes due to accidents and circumstances that expose them to the vulnerability of getting injured.

Sprain, cramps, dislocations and worse, getting fractured, are injuries that may occur with athletes and non-athletes and should not be taken lightly as they might aggravate the damage.

Injuries to non-athletes are usually associated with weight management problems where the structure of the body cannot bare the imbalance of the abnormal weight and body wellness.

We are talking about both overweight and underweight complications. Aside from this, the diet and lifestyle play a big role in the occurrences of this injuries, as balanced diet and exercise are the key to wellness.

Either athlete or non-athlete, ways on how to recover and rehabilitate your injury should be understood. Although we often seek the help of expert to do it for us, personal recovery and rehabilitation are essential in rehabilitation of injury. Basically, it’s all about believing that you will heal and that you can get back to fighting form that helps a lot in recovery and rehabilitation. But what is the difference of recovery and rehabilitation?

Injury recovery is simply healing. It’s basically the first stage of getting back from injury. One cannot start rehabilitation if the injury

has not yet recovered or healed, although recovery somehow is a term that generalizes the process, recovery means ready for rehabilitation.

Those injured must first recover or heal from wounds, bruises, and swelling before he can perform routines that will ensure rehabilitation will not further aggravate the injury. A common mistake by those who do not understand the process worsens the injury into a more complicated condition or unacceptable side effect.

Sports rehabilitation is the stage where the injury is free from complications and can be manipulated to get it back to its old form or better, recovery and rehabilitation are a matter that should be mend and taken care of by experts to safeguard further occurrence of complications and make sure that the injured gets better.
