SOME 180 paddlers from across the country and abroad are expected to gather to Bacolod City on March 23 to 24 for the staging of the 10th Lopue's National Open Table Tennis Championship at the Lopues’ Table Tennis Association (Loptta) Center.
The event will coincide with Loptta president Leonito “Diotay” Lopue’s 70th birthday celebration, coach Marell Lagunday said.
Among the events to be contested are men and women’s Open team, men’s executive and veterans.
Aside from top players in Bacolod and Negros Occidental, also seeing action are paddlers from Cavite and Manila, Visayas’ Tacloban-Leyte, Iloilo and Cebu, and teams from Singapore.
This annual event has drawn huge crowds witnessing one of the highly competitive table tennis competitions in the country. (HGD)
