MCPO receives P30M in financial assistance from Mandaue City

THE Mandaue City Government set aside P30 million for the repair of six police stations and the upgrade of facilities of the Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO).

It also provided funding the MCPO’s custodial facility in the headquarters.

The custodial facility was turned over by Mayor Luigi Quisumbing and Vice Mayor Carlo Fortuna to Senior Supt. Roberto Alanas, the MCPO director, during a short program at the MCPO compound yesterday.

The custodial facility was built at a cost of P752,428.60.

Alanas said that all their custodial centers or holding cells are already congested because of the number of suspects they’ve caught.

The new custodial facility can accommodate 10 male and 10 female prisoners.

In the next two months, the rehabilitation of the buildings of Mandaue Police Stations 1,3 and 5 will be completed. (FMG)
