Cafés turned study nooks

WITH the final exams coming up, many students are on the hunt for quiet places where they can study, whether it’s a nook in a coffee shop or a deserted area in your campus, or your school library. (In case you didn’t know yet, Cebu City’s Rizal Public Library is also now open 24/7.)

But for those who don’t want to get holed up in a quiet environment and are more comfortable studying in busy places, or those who opt to join group study sessions, coffee shops may be your best option. Sadly, though, some cafes are far from ideal when it comes to studying. Either they are too crowded or too noisy—not conducive at all for reviewing for a big exam. Looking for an ambience that’s perfect for studying? Zup suggests these coffee shops within the city, hoping you’ll find one to your liking and get your study session going!

(Ayala Center Cebu)

An oldie but goodie, it is best to study in this popular coffee shop at night since this café is always full during the day. The Starbucks at the rooftop of Ayala Center Cebu offers students a cozy ambiance, and its crew of friendly baristas is a bonus! With their improved menu, not only can you drink your favorite frap, you can also fill your tummy with the new items in their menu that includes pasta, bistro bowls and sandwiches.
Open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Workplace Cafe
(Ramos St.)

Workplace Cafe aims for total silence in order to help their patrons achieve maximum productivity. Also, this cafe offers brain food, all-day breakfast meals and pasta.

32 Umber Cafe

But no need to worry because despite its location on the bustling Archbishop Reyes Ave., it is peaceful and quiet inside the quaint little abode. Also, the little charmer offers its customers a wide selection of sandwiches, waffles, toasts and desserts to keep you full while studying.

Coffee Factory

Dozens of outlets is the main attraction of Coffee Factory on A.S. Fortuna St. But that’s not all there is to the Coffee Factory.
