3 Igorots top PNPA class

THREE Cordillerans are set to top this year’s graduation rights and ceremonies of the Philippine National Police Academy on March 23 at Camp Mariano Castaneda in Silang, Cavite.

The Maragtas or “Magiting at Responsableng Alagad ng Batas na Gagabay sa Transpormasyong Alay sa Bayang Sinilangan” Class of 2018 will be receiving their awards and diplomas from President Rodrigo Duterte, Vice President Leni Robredo, Interior and Local Government Secretary Edward Ano, and Philippine National Police Chief Ronald Dela Rosa.

Police Cadet Francis Pang-ay Fagkang of Sadanga, Mt. Province who finished second is set to receive will the Vice Presidential Kampilan Award and Plaque of Merit from Vice President Leni Robredo on their graduation ceremony.

Placing number three is Police Cadet Jess Torres Agustin of Kabayan, Benguet who will be receiving from The Interior and Local Government Secretary Edwardo Ano the DILG Kampilan award.

Fire Cadet Myrick Aquino Paldingan of Mankayan, Benguet placed number five in this year’s graduating class.

Police Regional Office Cordillera Director Police Chief Superintendent Edward Carranza lauded the Cordillera graduates saying their performance is a manifestation of their character as Cordillerans who inspire for hard work, perseverance and patience.

This year’s top graduate is twenty-four year old Police Cadet Fritz John Napalinga Vallador of Kabankalan, Negros Occidental, and will lead the 106-member of this year’s graduating class of the Philippine National Police Academy.

The PNPA Class of 2018 is composed of 97 male and 27 female cadets. Of the 106 members, 76 are joining the PNP, 13 will serve the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and 17 will join the Bureau of Fire.
