Musings of a diabetic sweet tooth: Is Starbucks Tea-ramisu worth a sip?

IT'S one of the two new flavors launched by Starbucks on April 11, Tuesday at its only stand-alone shop in Torres Street, Davao City.

Looking at all those creamy and cake stuff mixed in one cup, a potential diabetic like me would really back-off at the sight.

It's a blend of creamy cheesecake milk with thick Japanese Matcha topped with whipped cream and green tea cookie crumble.

Haha shoutout to all sweet tooth out there, this sounds just like your cup of tea! (Oops, pun unintended! :D)

And a gentle reminder for you, make sure to stir the cup before sipping because there's a syrup at the bottom part of the bottle and you would want to blend it with the rest of drink so sweet concentrate will disperse.

The verdict: it's not too sweet. If we make a sweet meter, then, Coffee Grounds' Cotton Candy Frap is too sweet. Starbucks' Tea-ramisu is mid-sweet. It's the type of sweet drink that you won't feel the need to have a lot of water right away to compensate with the sweetness. The cookie bits atop are not sweet at all. It's a bit salty actually. (Well, it's green tea cookie so given sya na hindi matamis sya haha)

Now, after having the whole cup to myself. I already reached my sweet limit for the day, so, next stop is you Midnight Mocha!
