Ateneo de Davao suspends classes after explosion

ATENEO de Davao University (ADDU) has issued a suspension of classes for Saturday, September 3, after an explosion occurred at the night market in Davao City around 9:50 p.m., Friday, September 2.

The night market is located at Corner Padre Gomez St., Roxas Avenue, across the school.

ADDU assistant to the president Jeremy “Bong” Eliab announced that there will be no classes and the university has imposed a lockdown.








Several students from ADDU took to social media to express their grief on the victims of the explosion, and shared information about the school on lockdown.

As of 3 a.m. Saturday, the ADDU announced on social media that is opening the ground floor of its community center to victims of the explosion.
