Roger Serna

The writing bug hit Roger P. Serna early. He joined Southwestern University’s student publication, “The Quill,” as a writer and then managing editor. He also took a part-time job as Vistas magazine writer.

To make the most out of what he had toiled for in college, he worked as a member of the accounting staff of Sun.Star Cebu for six years. He became a columnist when, with the writing bug’s bite constantly bothering him, he started an entertainment column in Sun.Star while continuing his regular job.

Then an offer to become the leisure editor of Newstime Daily dropped on his lap. This later led him to join the government service, first as information officer, then administrative officer, of the Provincial Information Office of Cebu Province; and to resume writing his entertainment column in Sun.Star.
