Clark council, CDC gear up for 2012 ConEx

CLARK FREEPORT -- The Metro Clark ICT Council and the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) are preparing for the 2012 Clark ConEx International ICT Conference and Expo, a gathering of the country’s top leaders and major stakeholders in the Information Technology (IT) and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry to be held here on October 10 to 11.

Spearheaded by the Metro Clark ICT Council, the 2012 ConEx aims to replicate last year’s feat that brought together close to 4,000 participants.

Gov, Pampanga councilors support CDC endurance race athlete

CLARK FREEPORT – The Provincial Board (PB) recently passed and approved a resolution that supports a senior legal officer of the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) in his bid to compete in a grueling endurance race in the United States this June 23 to 24.

Cops nab man with gun, bolt cutter

CAMP OLIVAS – A man caught carrying a firearm was arrested the Bacolor police who were conducting a mobile patrol along Zone 5, in Cabalantian, Bacolor town.

The police noticed the suspect identified as Joven Santiago Corpuz, 33, of Barangay Natividad in Guagua town, walking along a dark portion of the road with a big black traveling bag.

Woman drug peddler arrested

CAMP OLIVAS – A 35-year-old woman was arrested over the weekend during a drug-bust operation in Barangay Natividad, Guagua town, a police report said.

Police identified the alleged drug peddler as Almira Del Rosario David, married, of Purok 2, Natividad, Guagua.

8 of region’s most wanted nabbed

CAMP OLIVAS – Eight of the Central Luzon’s most wanted persons were nabbed by police in separate operations in Pampanga and Nueva Ecija over the weekend.

Edgardo Ladao, Police Regional Office (PRO)-Central Luzon director, ordered a series of manhunt operations in Pampanga and Nueva Ecija that resulted to the arrests of eight suspects.

Angeles City inks sisterhood pact with South Korea

THE Angeles City Government has forged a sister cityhood agreement with the Government of Seo-gu, Daegu Metropolitan City, a district of South Korea.

Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan and Seo-gu Mayor Kang Seong-Ho signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) to establish the ties between the two cities.

Suspected robber surrenders

LUBAO, Pampanga – Two suspects in the robbery of the GO-RE-MI General Merchandize Store in Barangay Sta. Cruz here surrendered to police over the weekend after being identified by a witness.

The suspects carted away P60,000 worth of gadgets and P25,000 in cash.

Girl stabbed dead

PORAC, Pampanga -- A 16-year-old girl was stabbed to death by a still unidentified suspect in Barangay Poblacion here on Tuesday, reports said.

Police identified the victim as Keith Valerie Lansangan Punzalan, a resident of General Luna Street, Poblacion here.

Central Luzon cops all set for opening of classes

CAMP OLIVAS -- The Central Luzon police are set to provide utmost assistance among students on the opening of classes come June 4.

Central Luzon Police Director Edgardo Ladao said guidelines were already established in accordance with Oplan Balik-Paaralan, a directive emanated from the national headquarters that is being conducted annually.

4 killed, 4 hurt in SCTEx mishap

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Four persons were killed while three others were seriously injured after their vehicle rammed into a guard railing of the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEx) at the vicinity of Barangay Babo Pangulo, Porac town on Tuesday.

The fatalities were identified as Dr. Richard Quilang (driver), 43; Mariel Frias Ocampo, 12; John Rod Ryan Martin, 14; and Criselda Rivero, all residents of Gagalangin, Tondo, Manila.
