USJ-R, not U23 champ USPF, to represent Cebu in Suzuki
IT WILL still be the University of San Jose Recoletos (USJ-R) that will represent Cebu in the Under-23 Suzuki Cup.
The two-year tournament, which is part of the selection process for the Under 23 team that will play in the Southeast Asian Games, had its eliminations last year and will have the regional and national finals this year.
Tabal, Missos rule Good Run
VICTORY is sweeter the second time around after Kenyan Abraham Missos and Mary Joy Tabal dominated The Goiter, Obesity, Osteoporosis and Diabetes (Good) Run yesterday at Cebu IT Park.
Missos also won the premier half-marathon category in the Xterra Offroad Trail Run, while Tabal got the title in the SM2SM Run.

55 teams join Inter-barkada football
THE fourth University of San Carlos Inter-Barkada Football Festival ballooned to 55 teams and is now set this Sunday at the USC-TC Field.
The tournament, which was moved a week later than its original schedule to give way to the Aboitiz Cup finals, is now sanctioned by the Cebu Football Association. It now also features the 38 and above category.
Dragons win Shield title
THE Cebu Dragons bounced back from a slow start to win the shield title in the 24th Manila 10s International Rugby Tournament over the Manila Hapons, 36-0, last weekend.
In the first day of their three-round robin pool games, they all lost to the Alabang Ibons, Brisbane Vulgarians and Hong Kong Scorpions due to numerous unforced errors.

THE visiting Cebu Track and Field team dominated the 1st National Masters Athletics Invitational Meet last March 16-17 at the Philsports Complex in Pasig City.
