JULY every year is designated as Police Community Relations (PCR) month with various activities being prepared by the Negros Occidental Police in line with the month-long celebration.
Chief Inspector Jefferson Descallar, chief of Noppo's PCR Branch, said that this year's theme is "Pagbinuligay Sang Kapulisan Kag Pumuluyo, Padulong Sa Kalinungan Kag Katawhayan."

Several activities have been lined up for the PCR Month celebration, including a PCR caravan Monday to open the month-long observance of the yearly affair.
Other activities include a Philippine National Police (PNP) night, singing contest for students, outreach programs, medical-dental mission, mangrove and tree planting activities, school visitations and the like.
Negros Occidental police director Manuel Felix emphasized the community’s role in the maintenance of peace and order in the province in achieving a safe and secure place to live, work and invest.
