MANILA -- Media advocates for responsible parenthood and natural family planning are joining Tuesday’s National Population Congress with 1,500 participants nationwide which, the Commission on Population is sponsoring with the theme: “Sa Tamang Agwat ng Pangnganganak, Buhay ay Aangat.”

A media briefing on the population development congress and fellowship at 6 p.m. will be held today at Lotus Garden Hotel while the POPDEV Congress will be held at the Manila Hotel tomorrow.

VIMAR was established last Oct. 2 by POPCOM through the Philippine NGO Council on Population and Health spearheaded by its executive director Dr. Eden Divinagracia. The media core group is aimed at heightening people’s awareness with regard population management and development with responsible parenting and natural family planning as the major platform of the advocacy.
