THE Bacolod 2020 Movement endorsed Monday their choice of political candidates for the May 10 elections.

Kid Bañas, convener of the 2020 Movement, said they are endorsing the candidacy of congressional bet incumbent councilor Jocelle Batapa-Sigue and mayoralty candidate Andrea Si.

The group also endorsed lawyer Victoria Fernandez, of Women's Initiative for Nationalist Government Service Wing; Jenny Duro, of Youth for Change; Anthony Garcia, of Kasuplan sa Kauswagan sang Imol sa Bacolod; and Greg Jimena, of Golden Circle of the Elderly for councilor.

The group also endorsed presidentiable Senator Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III.

The Bacolod 2020 Movement's vision and platform of government is anchored on the voice of every individual who must be heard regardless of sex, age, gender, religious belief, political affiliation or ethnic background.

Every citizen deserves and must therefore demand for good governance, and the upliftment and protection and of the dignity of every individual, particularly the weak and the marginalized, as the primary concern of governance, Bañas said.

The goal of Bacolod 2020 Movement is to install a local government unit in Bacolod that adheres to the ideas of good governance based on truth, and one that is trustworthy, responsive, unifying, transparent, humane, and sustainable, Bañas noted.
