Initial investigations conducted by PO1 Leomel Guinanao disclosed that around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, while the victim was in Lacson-Burgos Street, three unidentified persons on board a color green tricycle approached him and offered him a ride.
When the victim boarded the tricycle, one of the suspects suddenly asked his companion in the vernacular: "Is this really him?"
The victim tried to escape by punching one of the suspects and alighting from the vehicle but before he managed to escape, he was stabbed by one of the suspects.
Polines said the victim was brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital for medical treatment.
