Descallar presented "Oplan Pana-ad 2010" and discussed security preparations like VIP protection and traffic management to ensure the safety of revelers.

On the other hand, Noppo deputy provincial director for operations, Police Superintendent Armando Tubongbanua, appealed to Negrenses and other guests who will visit the Pana-ad festival site from March 20-27 to avoid bringing deadly weapons like firearms and knives.

Tubongbanua likewise said that the bringing of beer and soda bottles outside the designated drinking area will be prohibited to avoid untoward incidents to occur.

"Parents of children below four years old are also advised not to allow their kids to go to places where alcoholic drinks are served to ensure their safety," added Tubongbanua.

Inspection will be conducted by policemen, army personnel and other friendly forces on all entry points at the Pana-ad Park according to Tubongbanua.

Motorcycle riders are also advised to bring their driver's license and wear helmets lest they will be cited for traffic violations according to Police Senior Inspector Arnold Mesias Jr of the Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force of Noppo.

The Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (PAIDSOTG) will also monitor the proliferation of illegal drugs at the festival site in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
