This was the second time that Robinsons tapped the city, district and municipal jails of the province to participate in the contest. The official lighting of the parols was last November 29 during the grand opening event of Barbie’s Enchanted Fairyland. The parol entries were displayed at the main canopy, front parking area of the mall.
BJMP Provincial Administrator Superintendent Joel Superfecial expressed his full support to said activity, adding that the contest defies the barriers of jail and gives the inmates a chance to expose their talents and to feel that they are not isolated by society. He said the patrol-making contest will strengthen their linkages to the government and private sectors in their effort to reform inmates into law-abiding and productive citizens.
