SSS implements online registration

THE Social Security System (SSS) is implementing its two-phase online registration procedure for members to ensure the accuracy and validity of basic member information to minimize, if not eliminate, incidents of failed registration and/or non-receipt of e-mail on registration outcome.

Phase 1 requires a member to provide information on the SSS number, first name, middle name, last name, date of birth and e-mail address.

Upon the online submission of the information, these will be checked with the member’s existing records. If the provided info was accurate, the system will display a message that an e-mail has been sent to the member’s e-mail address.

“This e-mail will advise a member to click on the given link to continue with the registration,” the SSS said, adding that in case the information supplied is different from the SSS records, appropriate error message/s will be displayed onscreen to inform and guide the registrant.

Phase 2, meanwhile, will ask a member for additional personal information such as a mother's maiden name, address, contact number, preferred user ID and password, current membership status, the employer’s ID number for employed member or household help or receipt no./over-the-counter (OTC) transaction number for overseas Filipino worker, voluntary and self-employed members.

If registration is successful, an e-mail will be forwarded containing the member’s user ID and password. If not, the electronic message will advise one to call (632) 9206401, local 6201 or e-mail member_assistance@sss.gov.ph for assistance.

SSS is urging members who have yet to register online to do so for ease of access to the system to avail of relevant information and services. (CGC)
