PhilHealth logo design contest launched-A A +A

GRAPHIC artists, illustrators, design students, creative teams of advertising agencies, and other design experts are urged to join PhilHealthÕs logo design contest on the theme ÒRace to universal health care.Ó
The contest, which has no age limit, is open to all individuals or groups, professionals, student, or junior designers who are allowed to submit a maximum of three designs, which should illustrate the theme as well as the slogan ÒBawat Pilipino miyembro. Bawat miyembro, protektado. Kalusugan natin segurado.Ó
ÒThe theme and the slogan articulate PhilHealthÕs commitment towards achieving a universal health care (UHC) and underscores the local government unitÕs involvement in the execution of PhilHealthÕs strategies towards UHC,Ó PhilHealth president and CEO Eduardo Banzon yesterday stressed. ÒThe winning entry will be awarded P30,000 and will be used as the official campaign logo for PhilHealthÕs race to UHC.Ó
He added that the design entry has to signify speed and energy towards attaining UHC. Designers are free to choose the colors and gradients to be used in the campaign logo where resolution of the logo/artwork should not be less than 300 dpi (dots per inch) and in CMYK.
Entries must be submitted either in PSD (Photoshop document); JPEG (joint photographic experts group); AI (Adobe Illustrator document); EPS (encapsulated postscript) or in PDF or portable document format and should not exceed 10mb in file size.
A brief narrative description of the logo should be provided and written in the contest entry form.
Entries must be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org on or
before 12midnight of December 31, 2011 and must contain the name, postal address, contact number and e-mail address of the participant. Entries with identifying marks, logos and signature representing the identities of the artist or affiliations are automatically disqualified. Neither PhilHealthÕs name nor its slogan should appear in the logo.
For group submissions, the organizationÕs name and their point personÕs name, postal address, contact number and e-mail address must be indicated.
