After hearing the news, several call center firms in Bacolod City had taken action to monitor their agents.
Activities like physical fitness and psychological tests are mandatorily conducted on all agents in several call centers here to document at least behavioral actions of the agents, in the industry which is considered to be one of the highest-paying jobs in the country today.
However, several call center firms said they can’t yet decide on conducting drug testing on their agents, as it would likely gain criticisms from the agents themselves.
BCPO is set to launcha much-heightened war against illegal drugs in Bacolod, which BCPO chief Celestino Guara Jr., considers as one of the headaches of the city police.
Guara said BCPO is determined to fight the problem on illegal drugs here, though he said it’s a tough fight they’re going to engage; citing the problem has been one of the biggest in Bacolod that all those who have served as chiefs of BCPO has encountered.
