DTI Negros said they will intensify their monitoring activity on good prices especially for those food products that are usually on high-demand during the coming holiday seasons to make sure that vendors are not taking advantage on their costumers.

Also, DTI warns Negrenses and Bacoleños of buying low quality of Christmas lights and electric-powered decors.

This is to ensure the safety of every individual during Christmas and New Year's bashes.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) has already warned to avoid using Christmas lights that did not passed the quality assurance (QA) check as these stuffs usually the causes of fire incidents.

Consumers are encourage to look for QA seals and Import Commodity Clearance (ICC) stickers on Christmas lights products to ensure that these stuffs passed the quality control test and are good for general usage.

DTI urges consumers to help them fight against fake basic goods and low quality food products by simply ignoring those who sells it.

Also, DTI are set to monitor prices of meat and fish products in wet markets, as reports previously came out that some vendors are starting to impose higher prices than what is allowed.

DTI assured vendors of sanctions if caught violating price scheme ordered by the government.
