Drilon bags MassKara Queen crown

APPEARING as stunningly beautiful, intelligent and confident before a huge crowd at the University of St. La Salle gymnasium, three lovely candidates proved themselves to be learning the ropes of a very challenging journey towards the realm of beauty and brains in an ABS-CBN-produced MassKara Queen 2011 pageant.
Bacolod City Mayor Evelio R. Leonardia crowned Alexis Danica Drilon, 20, a 4th year BS Biology of University of St. La Salle, as the 2011 Miss MassKara Queen. She received P80,000 and other prizes.
The first runner-up was Jelliane Rose Dinorog, who is a BS Secondary Education student of Colegio San Agustin–Bacolod. She received P50,000 and other prizes.
The second runner-up was Allysa Marie Villarico, 19, and a student of the University of Negros Occidental–Recoletos. She received P30,000 and other prizes.
Drilon said, “I just feel amazing tonight for this victory. Thank you everyone for supporting me including those whom I don’t personally know. Thank God for this wonderful feat.”
Special Awards
Drilon also received the most number of special awards such as Miss Samsung, P5,000; Miss Photogenic, P5,000; Best in Festival Costume and Miss Supercat, P5,000 and round trip ticket for two to Iloilo Bacolod and vice versa; Best in Fantasy Make-up, P10,000 cash a sash and bouquet. She was also named as Lifestyle’s Bacolod Choice, garnering 4,974 votes from bloggers and Miss Negros Navigation and Supercat, P5,000.
Villarico was Miss Casino Alcohol Femme receiving P10,000 and Best in Ramp with P5,000 prize. Dinorog was also Best in Talent.
Kathleen Matillano, 17, of Luisa Medel National High School, was Miss Congeniality while Rose Valerie Lapuz was Best in Swimsuit.
Rexie Lynn Lim was Best in Long Gown. She received P10,000 prize, gift certificates, sash and bouquet.
Meanwhile, the equally stunning and talented candidates who also vied for the most coveted title but did not made it to the top include Matillano; Abegail Rose Valdez, 19, 1st year BS Nursing, University of Negros Occidental–Recoletos; Giah Elaine Sumalde, 20, 4th year BS Interdisciplinary Studies, University of St. La Salle; Anastacia Concepcion, 18, 1st year BS Hospitality Management, West Negros University; Alona Jabaybay, 19, 1st year BS Accountancy, University of Negros Occidental–Recoletos; Rose Valerie Lapuz, 20, BS Hotel and Restaurant Management, University of Negros Occidental–Recoletos and Rexie Lynn Lim, 19, 4th year BS Nursing, University of St. La Salle.
