BARANGAY Sum-ag now has its contribution in advancing the tourism program of the City of Bacolod.
The Vintage Glass Museum is a must see destination where one can see and appreciate the display of collection of over 2,000 glass pieces by a Sum-agnon Tomiko C. Casiano, (Tomas Claridad Casiano), a world class floral designer of the rich and famous in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.
Glass pieces such as dinnerware, Victorian lamps, decorative objects, decanters and commemorative plates of different hues and intricate design.
Tomiko said he collected these glass pieces for two decades during the depression period in the United States.
He flew all his collections in his home town and decided to put it in a Museum just near their house in Sum-ag.
The Museum is inside Laguerta.
Tomiko said that he collected these precious glass pieces because it was beautiful, colorful and difficult to collect.
"I feel I won in a jackpot when I have all these glass pieces. It fed and penetrated my soul," he said.
Tomiko first worked as a butler for movie director Benjamin Smith before he started his own flower shop in the United States.
As he gracefully aged, he returned home for good and started to make this Museum, beautify his Laguerta and enjoyed his time with friends and family.
