Happy Birthday Pastor Voi

REV. Voi Arzaga of Bible Baptist Church and Living Heritage Christian Academy in Barangay Taculing celebrated his birthday last Sunday. It was indeed an occasion not just to mark his natal day but to celebrate God’s goodness to someone who has dedicated his life to shepherd the flock.

Among Pastor Voi’s many well-wishers were the professionals who are now scattered in the different places around the country who were products of Pastor Voi’s ministry to the poor and less fortunate whom he has helped finish school and have all turned professionals in their chosen vocations. They took time to attend last Sunday’s occasion if only to wish Pastor Voi many more birthdays in the years to come so that many more will be reached out by the love and concern that this humble and committed servant of God has used to bring souls to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ through the years.

Pastor Voi and I go a long way in that we both share a passion for talented young people who have a promising future in sports, particularly in basketball, where I have witnessed Pastor Voi treat this young player like members of his own family

I cannot forget Rev. and Mrs. Arzaga’s concern and prayerful support when I was hospitalized years back, and knowing a mediaman’s financial struggles, Pastor Voi and Manay would always go out of their way to shell out some financial help for our medication.

Pastor Voi is also a pillar of the defunct Bacolod Inter-Church Basketball Tournament which we hope and pray, with god’s help, we will be able to revive, also with the much-needed support of sports patrons like Mr. Anthony Carlo Agustin, chairman of the West Negros University Committee on Sports Management & Development, as well as our partner pastors from the different evangelical churches in the city and province.

Pastor Voi, from all of us who have been objects of your shepherding and care, we say may God continue to use you mightily for His glory and honor. Happy birthday and God bless!!!

P.S. The Sports Communicators Organization of the Philippines (SCOOP) Bacolod Chapter wish to convey our sincere condolence to the family of GAB consultant and NBA and NABA treasurer Vic Tan whose mother passed away recently at the age of 96.
