Rhian and TJ first visited the Dr. Joaquin R. Villaroas Multi-Purpose Complex in barangay Sum-ag Gym, Bacolod City at 11AM last October 17.
They helped out in distributing GMA school bags and supplies to 100 student-beneficiaries of the Kapuso outreach program. This program is part of the Kapuso volunteerism project of the network in the regions where Kapuso stars have been actively taking part of.
Aside from gift-giving, parlor games were also held for the kids, with special GMA items given out as prizes to the winners.
The young TV screen idols then headed for the Kapuso fiesta mall show at SM City Bacolod. Sponsors’ booths opened at 1 p.m. and were swamped with a foot traffic estimate of 2,000 people. The on-ground activities and games were in full swing when the GMA Telebabad mall show unfolded at 5 p.m.
Campus Radio DJs’ Mama Ina and Papa Dino hosted the mall show at SM City Bacolod’s Event Centre.
The expectant crowd ballooned to approximately 6,000 people when the Kapuso mall show started.
TJ was first to appear and was welcomed with shrieks of delight. When Rhian was called out onstage, the crowd overwhelmed the Pinoy ‘Jodi’ with shrieks, applauses, and flashes of camera. Encouraged by the very warm reception, Rhian gamely participated in the onstage game facilitated by Mama Ina and Papa Dino.
Katrina, on the other hand, delighted the crowd when she performed two popular ditties – Para Sa Akin and Ngiti.
The Kapuso stars capped the event by thanking the audience for their continuous support of the Telebabad shows. Special GMA merchandise items were personally distributed by Rhian, TJ, Katrina, Papa Dino and Mama Ina to the crowd. (PR)
