ALL over the world, run/walk events are being sponsored for charities. What could be a healthier and more fun way to shed off those calories, be fit and at the same time contribute to a most notable cause?
The recent St. Scholastica’s Alumnae Foundation joined the bandwagon for the second time around which brought a humongous number of advocates to support a cause be counted. From every sector of society, people with ages ranging from 5 to 75 years old walked and ran to help indigent children have their vaccines, surgeries which are badly needed and attention to the basic welfare of many from all parts of Negros.
For the very avid runners and walkers, a prize did merit consolation. In the 5K group walk, the winners were: 1st - Sta. Clara Walkers; 2nd - Capitolville Walkers and 3rd - Hua Ming Alumni Walkers.
The Colasas decided to group themselves into batches and these different groups made it: 3k Kolasa batch walk: 1st - Class of 1982; 2nd - Class of 1977 and 3rd - Class of 1998.
Although the ultimate pure motive was for a cause, it is equally fun to see the expressions of the runners and walkers in their unguarded moments!
