Life begins at 40

A WEEK ago, on the evening of February 17, 2013, the debonair Raymond John Villacorta, of Silay City, turned 40.

It was a night of songs and dances with the performances of his colleagues in the judiciary, and his batch mates of class 1989 of St. Theresita’s Academy and Silay Institute. Many people graced the said celebration and among them was Former Congressman of the third district, Jose Carlos “Kako” V. Lacson. Also, retired RTC Judge Roberto Chiongson and his wife Dra. Chiongson, Hon. Montano Medel of MTCC Bacolod Judge and his wife, Hon. Evelyn Arsenio of MTCC Victorias City and Hon. Mila Yap Camiso of MCTC Calatrava were also present on the said occasion.

A local band composed of Claire Bird and Bobby Aguirre played music of the ’70s and ’80s when dinner was served. The celebrator performed several songs together with his colleagues and classmates and the evening’s program was hosted by former YES FM disc jockey Marko “Mark Lizares” Doloso.

The celebrator and his family led by his aunt Carmen “Mimi” Araneta Flor thanked those who attended the said celebration. It was considered an affair to remember. It was truly a success and most of all it was dedicated to God because we should be thankful to God for all the blessings we receive. God is good all the time and without Him we are nothing. Life begins at forty, so we come and join in this journey called life.
