EVERYWHERE you go, you see pupils from pre-school and elementary, and students from high school and college either all dolled up or looking dapper in their togas. It’s Graduation Day!
If there is an awaited moment in the history of a child for a parent, it is watching their kids march down the aisle and receive their certificates.
For the School for Creative Beginners, the students experienced three moving up programs this year. The School for Creative Beginners is celebrating its 20th year and they wanted it to be different and make a difference as well.
First in the lineup of programs was Peter Pan, a musical program performed last Feb. 15. Just picture the children having a feel of Broadway! It was delightful watching the kids acting their different roles from cameo to main characters and memorizing their speaking parts, portraying the characters they play. Many thespians in the making!
The second of the series was Cafe 20 held last March 21. The School for Creative Beginners was transformed into a cafe with the kids managing the enterprise. Can you imagine these cute little tots acting out as waiters, cashiers and cooks to their parents? Nothing can be more pleasant and thrilling for parents to be served by their children and after which to be entertained by a performance whilst they have their coffee and cake.
And the third of the series and the culmination of activities was the Awarding and Recognition Ceremonies of the children last March 22.
Graduation Day at whatever levels is one of the important highlights in a person’s life and we are glad that they come annually with their numbers increasing!
